The short answer.
Girandella Beach is Rabac's livelier Blue Flag beach, 0.5 nm east of Fru Fru Boats' harbour pontoon at Obala Maršala Tita 59. It is a mixed pebble-and-rock crescent with beach bars, on-sand watersports rental (jet ski, paddleboard, kiteboard), a partial FKK section at one end, and a soundtrack that runs from late morning into evening. Reached by boat in three minutes. The Sveti Andrija Blue Flag beach next door is a separate walk-from-harbour stop, not a boat destination.
How you arrive.
You cast off from Rabac harbour, point the bow east, and the music meets you on the water before the beach does. Girandella is Rabac's livelier Blue Flag crescent — beach bars, on-sand watersports, jet skis off the south end, an actual soundtrack rather than muzak. The skipper drops anchor in 4–6 m of sandy bottom about thirty metres off the shore, the tender ferries you in, and by mid-morning you are swimming in crystal clear water that's lovely and warm. This is the trip for guests who want the energy of a holiday beach without the parking, the towel-row queue, or the stair descent.
What it feels like.

- Watersports rental on-beach — kiteboard, paddleboard, jet ski (independent operators)

Why it works by boat.
Where Maslinica is the long, calm pebble crescent on the west side of the bay, Girandella is the vivid one. The vividness has a name: beach bars and watersports, the kind that turn a swim into a half-day. And those bars and watersports, in turn, sit on the same crescent as a partial FKK section and a stretch of quieter rock at the north end — three different moods in one anchored line of sight. Anchor offshore + tender in gives you the trick the land tourists don't have: when the lounger competition starts, you motor four minutes south to a quiet Rabac riviera cove for the second swim.
the walkable-from-harbour beaches
Two small Blue Flag beaches sit on the Rabac promenade itself, walkable from the harbour, not boat destinations: Maslinica's town-end stretch and Sveti Andrija, the small beach next to the 15th-century church at the south end of the promenade. Guests who land at the harbour can swim at Sveti Andrija on foot before or after the boat day — five minutes from the pontoon. The boat run goes east to Girandella; the walk goes south to Sveti Andrija. Not the same beach, not the same kind of day.
Nearby on the same day.
Combine with:
- Maslinica — 3 min west, calmer
- Rabac riviera coves — for the antidote afternoon
- South Rabac Snorkel Loop — 8–15 min south, the reef-water alternative

About this trip.
Will it be crowded?
In August, yes — that's the trip's mood. June and September are calmer. Even at peak, the boat solves the worst of it: you arrive at nine, anchor offshore, and leave when the lounger competition starts.
What's the FKK section?
A small section at one end of the beach is nudist (FKK — Croatian for naturist). Walk around it if you'd rather not be next to it; it's a small footprint of the total beach.
Can I rent watersports here?
Yes — paddleboard, jet ski, kiteboard rentals on the sand. Independent operators; we don't book those, you arrange on-arrival.
Is the music too loud for a quiet morning?
Mid-morning it's tolerable. The party energy builds toward afternoon. Even if you want both moods in one day, the boat lets you anchor at Girandella for an hour and motor four minutes west to Maslinica when you've had enough.
