How a day on the water unfolds.
A boat trip from Rabac doesn't have to be far. The closest cove is 15 minutes; the farthest konoba is 60–70 minutes (boat-dependent). The boat sets the geography, not the calendar; that geography is the cliff-and-cove coast guests come back to describe as "very small quiet beach ideal to access by boat". Most guests start with a half-day on the Rabac coast — Maslinica, a cove, a swim — and book a Cres day later in their stay.
Without the parking, the towel-row, the stair descent — the boat changes the same coast into a different day. Even if you've never rented before, the Rabac riviera is a 15-minute on-ramp; the Cres day waits until your second booking. Finally — the cove the cruise tour can't reach, because the cruise tour can't fit through the entrance.

How far in advance should I book a trip?
In peak summer (July–August), as soon as you have dates. For shoulder months, a few days. Day-of works in low season — call/WhatsApp.
Self-drive or skipper for the first time?
If you have a licence and the trip is coastal (Rabac riviera, Plomin Bay), self-drive is honest. Cres days and dolphin water — take the skipper. The local knowledge is the value.
Can I combine a beach + a konoba into one trip?
